Hey folks! I'm thankful for GameSalad. It's a great option for a guy like me who used to be in the industry and now is in another career path, yet I still want to make small games!
I live in Lawrence, KS. I did a short stint in Seattle and worked on Destroy All Humans and the very first Scribblenauts. I did a small title in 2012 for iOS called Sticky Bees and its failure was actually a feature story in Game Informer. http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2013/05/29/risky-business-surviving-the-mobile-middle-ground.aspx
Now I am just making games myself on the side and hope to release my first GameSalad title within a month!

My son and I loved playing Destroy All Humans, he thought it was just plain fun and I loved all the old sci-fi movie references!

Always nice to see "industry refugees" using GS (as many of us here are, too!)
Best of luck and we hope to see some great games from you in the future!

How long have you tried tinkering with the tool? I'm not exactly an industry veteran, nor am I a professional game developer, but as a professional traditional programmer I can tell you that your past (and present) programming know-hows will give you an edge when using Gamesalad
I'm confident you'll get familiarised in no time.
If you get stuck with something, just ask around and we'll be glad to help!
Anyways, hope you enjoy GS. Looking forward to your future development.

Nice to have you join the masses. That's a great article on game informer. Really nicely written and one interesting journey you've been on to get here. Good luck with what ever you make and no doubt we'll see you around the forum.
Agree with @StormyStudio , really interesting read on GameInformer. Look forward to seeing what you come up with on GS.
