Amazon / Android and Leaderboards?

So in the publisher there is Android. It has a section to check off leaderboards and achievements as "Amazon". Same thing in Kindle. In my Amazon developer console I have one API key. Is this the same key I use for the Services setting in the GS publisher? From reading the forums it seems that leaderboards and achievements are not even possible with Android so how exactly does this work, how / why is kindle different from Android? Any explanation would help.

Amazon/Gamesalad ran or still running a promotion were if you publish a game to Kindle you would earn a free month of Gamesalad Pro so in short Android publishing covers both Kindle is just for Kindle.

So the Kindle version was made Free so everyone could enter.

So you mean I should be submitting the same APK to both Google Play and Amazon? The one I generate from the Android tab in the Pro publisher?

Hmm. I have signed both. It was accepted at Amazon and it is working perfectly on Google play. The issue was that when I enabled Amazon leaderboard and Achievements on the Google play version, when you download and install it on the device it says invalid API key. So I removed the Amazon leaderboard and achievement ability from the Android APK build and it works fine. I will keep playing with it. Thanks for the help!
