edited November -1 in Working with GS (Mac)
After 2 months of using Gamesalad I had no problems at all.
Until today, When I open my project It just shows a blank white screen.
Did anyone had this problem before or know how to solve it?

Thanks

You may want to reboot and try again. If it persists, make a copy of the project. When you open up the project, is it a blank white screen from the get go? Or when you try to preview? If from the get go, you are probably screwed...unless...you may want to try opening it on another Mac with GS installed. I say this as a demo project I created for someone from my iMac worked fine on my machine but gave the person I created it for a white scene. They had to delete the scene and recreate it with the actors that seemed to still be fine. So maybe you have a *somewhat* similar situation here.

You could try making a copy of the gameproj file. Then, at the Finder level, view the contents of the copy. In there, delete the scenes in the "scenes" directory. Then in one of the .xml files in the root directory (don't recall which one), there is a list of scenes in the file. You can delete those. Then exit out of the "viewing" of the file. Try opening it up and see if you can at least view the actors now. Yeah, you will have to re-create the scenes.

Good luck. Ran into similar scenarios a couple of times now. Usually resulted in scene recreation or reverting to a previous backup.

Well, I guess Ill have to recreate those scenes *Sigh*.
Really appreciate your response, Thanks! =)

You might want to hold off a few days before you recreate your scenes. There are some known bugs in the current release of GS that are causing images to disappear (search the forums) - but I'm only speculating.

Comment on this perhaps YodaP could.

ck may be correct if your "blank white screen" is actually no actors in the actor pane.

So if you define your "blank white screen", it would help. I get one once in a while where the whole screen goes white and sometimes GS stops/exits and othertimes my iMac freezes.

If only part of GS is "blanking out" it could be some different issue possibly related to the new version as ck stated.

When i put publish a pop up appears saying:

    1) Uploading Game Project...
    2) Upload complete, receiving app...
    3) Signing app package...

And after that appears another pop up with this error:

"The file couldn't be opened because it isn't in the correct format."
"The file might be corrupted, truncated, or in an unexpected format."

Xarup - this happened to me not a long time ago, and Im still having trouble. I did, however, get past this. Assuming you are following TSB's tutorial, restart. Before that, clean out ALL of your certs and everything that you downloaded. Now, start over and you should be ok. If it happens again, close GameSalad, reboot your Mac, and try again. This is how I got post that.

When publishing - Are you updating an app in GS or creating a new one? I had this same issue recently and it turns out the one I was trying to update to was corrupt so I just published it as new and that worked.

Ps- sure wish we could delete ones we've uploaded via GS that are no good any more.

I'm having the same problem. I press publish.
Get to the end where it says your files are corrupted can not open or something similar to that.
I have tried new game and update game with the same result.
    Any suggestions.
