two identical scenes -one runs 20fps, the other 60fps?

hey guys.
so my iPad project has been running at around 20 fps on the gsviewer, which kinda confused me as i only have around 5 actors on screen at a time. so i removed all the images in my project so that my actors were just coloured blocks. that made no difference. what confuses me even more is that there are two scenes in my project; both EXACTLY the same, yet when i switch to the 2nd scene, my fps shoots up to 60fps! does anyone know why this is happening. will really appreciate any help u guys can give :) cheers.

It's like telling a mechanic, "I'm hearing a noise and I don't know what to do" but you left the car at home...

Yup ! I'm supirsed at how many of these kinds of questions come up, my preferred analogy is:

I'm doing a calculation, I'm expecting to get 214 as a result but I keep getting 217, I'm not going to show you what numbers or processes are involved but can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong ?

You need to give people at the very least a few clues as to what is going on in your project otherwise all you'll get is some random guesses, but more often than not these kinds of questions don't get much of a response.

Throw us some clues and hopefully someone can help you out. :)

hey guys, thanks for replying, sorry about being vague, I'm still kind of a rookie at this and was hoping that this was a common issue. i managed to fix the issue though; i must have changed something (haven't got a clue what) so i made a new project and rebuilt everything and i was back at 60 fps. but i have another problem now. it seems that i can't have a 768x1024 image (iPad background) without the fps dropping to 30. the .png is 786x1024 and so is the actor (movable unchecked). this is probably a stupid question with an obvious answer, but again I'm still new at this, so bare with me :) thank you in advance.
