Which platform do I use for Android?

I see a lot of questions about publishing for android devices, but not many on how to first start it up. When I select a new project, there's the list of iphone and ipad and nook and all those, but there isn't anything for Android. Is there a way to add android to this list that I simply haven't figured out from the tutorials, or should I use one of those listed already?

To publish android apps you need to have a pro account. The list you are viewing is for layout purposes and not publishing. You would normally build the game in either iPad or iPhone layout and then publish to android with a pro account. @JohnHarker‌

Hmm I generally have used the iPhone size for general Android devices set to overscan if I remember correctly (phone devices) which is quite adaptable to Android devices. I have only used Nook or Kindle when making stuff for those specific platforms.

    I think anything goes really.
Based on the advice of another GS user I used Nook as my master project size for my latest game and it's worked out great. I used overscan mode when publishing to all other devices - which just means being aware of the cut-off area that certain devices (ipad especially) will have.

Do you check resolution independence when publishing to android?
