App Live - Next Step Optimization Advice
Hi all,
My first game has been live for a few days and is getting pretty poor downloads (around 10 per day). The feedback i've had from friends etc. is that it's a pretty simple but addictive game.
It's a free game called The Hungry Spider (https://t.co/tvp5EQvh8p)
I didn't expect much from it, but i'd like to maximise any possible downloads as part of my overall learning experience. I'm keen to get advice on 'round 2' of promotion/optimization, which I think would serve well as a 'to do list' for each game I release in the future...
I'd be happy to implement any suggested changes and update the thread with results to help others. Here are my notes:
Title - Is it worth optimising this with some keywords? What could I add to 'The Hungry Spider' that would be beneficial?
Keywords - I can't find the keywords I used? In ITC it just says the keyword 'hungry spider' so perhaps I forgot to add them?? Any suggestions for keywords that might work for such a 'generic' game?
Translations - Once KW are decided, should I translate the meta content? Translate the Title? Would you translate all of the description images and the game itself (or simply update the game and use iconography instead of text).
Icon - Time for a new/better icon?
Any other suggestions as to how I can maximise possible exposure/downloads?
My next game is a lot more focused, and easier to find keywords etc. for (based on a sport). I actually make a living doing SEO but am struggling with the more generic game approach.
Thanks for any help/advice... I look forward to updating you all with results!!
Tim
