Optimizing your game

Hi,

At the moment I am making an endless runner game and I was wondering which is better for the background. To have one big image which is moving and spawning every let's say 5 seconds or to have a smaller image but it should spawn every 2.5 seconds. Which is better?

Both images are with good sizes 128x 1024 and 128x 512.

Also how does using the animation behavior all the time affect the fps ? I am using it on my main character all the time and for the others I use the move behavior. Since I can't test the game at the moment could you tell me ruffly when the game starts to lag. I don't have so many rules and I think they are well made but I am more concerned about all the animation I am using.

I think the best way is to use scene wrap, check out our free template Santa Go! To see this in action.
