App flipping with game salad and apptopia?

Hello, I am new here and this is my first post. I searched for apptopia and app flipping and didn't get many results. I have been interested in making app games for a while, and recently I came across the concept of app flipping. I read on the forums that it's very hard to sell gamesalad apps on apptopia because not a lot of people there use GS, but would it easier to "flip", reskin and resell, apps from there using gamesalad?

I am looking for experiences, opinions, advice. I don't know much about the concept, so any input on this would be appreciated! Thanks =]

My advice is don't be one of those d-bags that just takes templates or other pre-made apps and just re-skins them. Actually take the time to create a well polished and creative game. People that do that are just pathetic wastes of space that lack imagination and make a mockery of the entire process.

Oh okay. That's what I understood the whole purpose of apptopia to be. If no games are being stolen, it seems like a win/win situation to the seller and the buyer to me. I understand not needing a million renditions of flappy bird, but I still wouldn't mind if I sold an app for thousands and someone redid it. That being said, I still would rather have more fun making my own games. Thanks for the input!

App flipping sounds like template making. Except your just selling it to one person. Sure there are people that do that even around here but you will find most people buying the apps pre made have no concept of the work that goes into them. So the chances of someone paying you loads of cash is pretty slim in my opinion. One for their ignorance of the work and two because of how little chance you have of recouping a large investment from the App Store.

Either way it's not really allowed to take place on these forums so I'm gonna go ahead and shut this thread down.

People are here to learn about GameSalad and learn how to use GameSalad. We're glad to help you out anyway we can in that aspect.

    Cheers
