A Good Accelerometer Demo???

Hey Guys,
So I have been trying for days to get the accelerometer to work good and it has gotten better as I have been trying new ways of writing it but it still is not quite there. Have found a few demos but still not quite there to where it feels fluid and good! All I'm trying to do is have a character go left and right when the device is tilted left to right. When tilted to left character goes left and as soon as device is tilted right, character goes right. It has become really frustrating because of how close I have gotten it to work smoothly but still not quite there.

Thank you for your post but that is not going to quite give me the result I am wanting. I basically want it to work like the game "Ridiculous Fishing" Hope that gives a better understanding of what I am trying to accomplish!

Oh I might have a template for you, I'll post it here asap if I find it!
