Forums Freaking Out

Weird forum errors. I am getting lots of odd behaviour from the forum including a pop-up error message about Guru's and Vanilla errors…it then logs me out automatically.

    Yeah just today I've been logged out a few times. Odd.

    I've been continually and repeatedly logged out for three years now, I can't stay logged in for longer than two or three posts, sometimes I am logged out mid-post, it's been like this since I joined the forums, this has continually happened on three different Macs now - and on two different iPads (1 & 3) - and at three seperate locations (with different ISPs) . . . . so I can reasonably rule out my end as the cause of the problem . . . my long held suspicion is that the forum software is simply not very stable (in all sorts of ways), I've had zero issues with every other forum I've visited or participated in over the years, the problem only happens with GameSalad forums.

    Lol, got logged out when trying to post this (not joking) :)

    I'm right there with you. and on top of that, every time I publish an app, it logs me out of the forums.

    but the weird thing is, when browsing the forums from work on a pc, I never get logged out.

    I never get logged out, but on my iPhone I can never post.

    I get logged out occasionally... seems rather sporadic.
    Anyone looked up the issues being with Vanilla?

    Also I can't get these stupid posts to have different lines anymore, everything gets put on one line. Really annoying....

    That's really wierd I used to have those issues but I have not had log out issues on any device for a really long time. I might get logged out once a month on each device. Unless my cookies are cleared off course.

    Do you guys allow GS to use cookies?

    @SnapFireStudios‌ Yeah that weird one line text thing. Also try and make after entering points like <1.> <2.>

    It's not too bad as I'm totally used to it now, I've come to accept that the GameSalad forums are pretty flaky, I’ll be logged out every few posts and will occasionally lose what I've posted (I type up longer posts in text edit now), but it's not a life or death thing, I can still access the forums. About the worse consequence is that I've become a little lazy and if an answer to a forum user's question gets destroyed often I can't be bothered to log back in and type it out again.

    On my iphone, every single time I hit the back button after reading a thread....not only does it not show me where I just was....it goes straight back to the top so I have to scroll to where I was at...oh but wait its not there because it was a pro discussion...you must sign in again....and then it takes me to the page to download the GS creator. arrrrrrrrgghhhh g. Ggh cough! :#

    Might just be a Mac thing ? I know the Marketplace doesn't work particularly well with the default Mac browser (Safari), maybe the forum software in general doesn't work particularly well with Mac based software (OSX/iOS) ?

    I've always wondered why they didn't simply go with one of the tired and tested (and stable) forum platforms ?
