Brilliant book 'Ready Player One' if you like 80's retro games and Oculus Rift you'll love this.

Now I haven't read a proper physical book for a good year, any spare time I have is generally put into my game project, reading about games, watching videos about games, checking this very forum, house maintenance, playing with the kids or drowning/surfing or tuning a neglected guitar.

But a friend said 'Ready Player One' was their new 2nd favorite book so I had to check it out. (I don't know what their first is yet).

I'm only a 3rd in to the book so far. But thought it was so good I had to share it on here.

Set in the near future where virtual reality headsets have become the norm. Packed full of 80's gaming, film and tv references.

As one of the review quotes on the book says 'It's like the Matrix meets Willy Wonka'.

Now I only recommend you take a small break from your game project and head over to Amazon or where ever and pickup a copy.

Really enjoying it and loving all the nods to the 80's. Even if you don't appreciate those you'll love the future sci fi story
