Welcome me back! Its actually @iluveunc by the way and for all of the people against me, Im making a new beginning! Its a new age here at Seth's Apps because with our name change coming just next month (to Surge Apps) we are taking on a whole new approach. I am proud to announce we are working on a great music learning game for kids just beginning to learn piano and another game which we are calling "Project Castle" We arent releasing any information about the second one because we are pretty sure that it is going to completely redefine the amount of effort put into ipad and iphone games built with game salad. We are only about 1/3 of the way done with it and a release date will be coming soon but for now check out the link/image to see early screenshots from our game called clux deluxe. Thanks!

P.S. of course its still in early development so dont say theres nothing in it, I know that haha. The concept is that the hen will lay an egg and it will fall and turn into a music note on a certain line and you must select the letter name of that note before the hen lays another egg.

No one commenting on the images? Please do, I need to know if anyone would buy a game with those graphics.

I would recommend getting a 'rights to your images' if you do not want debugdesign to share your images with anyone else. I did on mine.

I kind of assumed that would automatically be the case... hmmm...

A common mistake. Unless agreed and paid for, the artist always retains rights to their work. The most common agreement is a 'right of use' agreement, this is what you pay for, and even this should have limits to protect the artist. Otherwise it's a bit like buying a can of coke and demanding coca-cola not sell coke to anyone else. Debug is not doing anything dishonest or underhand. However Debug Design should have made this clear, and i hope he is issuing T&C's to protect him and his customers. To be honest this is something i rarely do for low paid jobs, done in good faith.

Is it me or is this basically insulting every other GameSalad creation? How can you claim to "completely redefine" how much effort goes into a game? Unless I have you wrong and you're redefining it by putting in less effort than anyone else ever has, in which case... um... bravo??

What I love about this community is that we work hard to compete in the appstore, but we support each other. I would hate to see GS community members take an attitude of competing against each other.

Maybe it wasn't meant to be insulting, but I agree - no need to imply that the rest of us are not putting huge amounts of efforts into our games. No need to compare the quality of your app to the quality of other GS apps. Just make the best app you can and let the market decide.

Exactly, especially when no one can compete with my creations as they are better than anything anyone else is capable of... EVER. HAHAHAHA, yeah right! I'll be lucky if I can even get my sprites to jump!

Oh, I'm not pissed off or anything. I've praised the guy enough times on this forum! I don't recall any terms and conditions ever being discussed though...

Not that it matters. It's just background graphics, and I can't expect Ian to make different clouds and hills for EVERY customer he has! And my game is nothing like the one pictured. I just didn't know, and didn't expect to see 'my' farm in someone else's game I guess! Especially the day after I received my graphics!

I'll send Ian a mail, just to clarify which bits should be 'unique' and which shouldn't. But I'm thinking he's smart enough to know which bits I *wouldn't* want to appear elsewhere anyway!

Cheers for clearing that up though, Mr. F.

You're taking about the barn aren't you...

I did add shutters and change the colour when using it again.

I just have a 'style' and there is only so many ways you can draw a simple background barn.

I do not re-use any 'major' elements on other peoples games . The most I re-use are trees, clouds and the odd building but nothing major.

If either want the barn (or anything) changed further, I would be more than happy to do it.

I figured the barn was OK as its big on one but very tiny on the other.

Actually, it was the road! :D

It's all good mate, and I've emailed you a response.

Nothing to see here. Move along!
