PAX East

I just got back from spending a few hours at PAX East. That place is insane, I was overwhelmed with the number of people just standing in line :) I walked through the entire exhibit hall and was stuck by how many indie developers where there, and got a lot of inspiration, I just wish I had the time to act on it.

How many years till a game developed with gamesalad has a booth??

Nice that sounds so good! Wish I could have gone, shame I live all the way over in the UK

Years?!? If you keep thinking like that it will be, I'm talking weeks

I work nearby in MA and attended the "PAX - Made in MA" event last night (my employer was highly involved and we had a booth, but I got to walk around freely as a visitor). Unfortunately, I didn't grab a ticket for this weekend before they all sold out, but the event last night was pretty cool, too.

A lot of indie projects were really impressive, mostly because you can really feel and see their passion. With that said, I was a bit shocked to see how unfinished (unprepared?) a lot of the booths were. It was refreshing to see so many people diving in and showing off their work without being paralyzed by the fear of presenting flawless work. But it was also a bit disappointing to see such a low level of polish/preparedness. Does that make sense?
