Gamesalad running extremely slow
Ok..It seems all of a sudden that my GS is crawling. I am elbows deep in a big game i have been working on for the better part of the month.
I just copied 35 scenes and now have about 105 attributes to edit.
I figured this would be a tedious task and decided to do it tonight.
I literally click on an attribute and it takes 10 to 15 seconds for the attribute box to come up.
Even going to a scene will start to hang.
I am a windows guy and have no clue about macs (this is my wife's that she never uses but had to have.)
I am 20 scenes in and i have been at it for like 3 hours but i cannot take it anymore.
any thoughts on how to speed things up. i installed an update. restarted. shutdown. the only program on this computer is adobe flash and game salad. i would say maybe 100 to 200 mb in the download folder.
its a year old.
After i restart it seems like it flys for a good 5 minutes then its back to being sluggish.
I looked to google but everything is a article trying to get me to buy/download some program to speed my mac up.
is there any hope of help or am i destined to throw this things against the wall and start stomping on it.
just looked its os x version 10.8.5

If you have actors with a large number of rules, especially nested rules or rules for playing sounds, it will slow things down substantially.
How much RAM (memory) does the computer have?

yea, when i go back to some of my older games it can be brutal working in them, I save/close/reopen after working on every few actors.
make sure you max out the ram on your mac, 4GB is enough to get by, 8GB is probably recommended and 16GB is great
