Making an Inventory/Inventory Template

Hello :) [Before I start off, if I have already posted a Forum Post/Question like this, I am sorry. I do not {I tried to italicize the words "do not", but I don't even know how to do that, because it won't work if I click "Preview Post" lol} now how to view your forum posts...]

I was wondering if anyone knows how to make an Inventory. I am looking for an Inventory that when you collide with something (like a Potion), that item gets saved into your Inventory. Then when you tap on it in your Inventory, it reappears in a slot or on the main screen so you can use it.

The inventory could be a drag-down, a drop-down (or drag-up. Someone had a template like that (the guys name starts with John, and the template is called "money system", its just that that Template didn't work for me and I'm looking for something else). Or it could be an Inventory on another Scene that gets saved using Tables (if that is possible).

I am trying to work on a big game, so if anyone can give me advice or help me out, then that would be awesome! :)

Thanks:)

I'm not even sure what the rules are with pointing people towards templates at the moment. But since it's on the official GameSalad marketplace I'll give it a whirl.

I sell my Universal inventory template which has the classic inventory style menu... you can collect the inventory so it appears, press a button to open and close it.. collect a bigger inventory, select items and use them. It also has the basic code for using items i.e. to unlock a door.

It's all labelled up clearly, uses Tables and is set up to be universal so it includes scaling and repositioning of certain actors for iphone legacy, iphone retina and ipad resolutions.

It also includes pop up and classic text boxes that you can use or delete if its not required.

If I'm not allowed to point towards official marketplace templates.. Can someone please send me a message and I'll clear all this..

@SodaManCo You can italicize words by using the I symbol in the formatting toolbar above the post you are editing or you can add an underscore before and after those words. To edit a post, click on the gear symbol to the far right of your username at the top of a post. To view existing threads/posts you've created, click on the My Discussions link at the top-right of the forums page.

@StormStudio sent you a PM but yes, it's fine.

Thank You @tatiang‌ and @StormyStudio‌ for your quick replies!

@StormyStudio‌ , I had looked at your template before, but I did not want to Buy it because of the Price Tag (which was $25 for the Universal Template, and $13 for the Inventory Template, and also me being a High School Student...).

But I checked it out, and I think I might buy it! I checked on your website and the only thing I found related to Inventory was your "Universal Point & Click Template". But I found an Inventory Template on your website that is $13, and I think I'll buy it!

It looks really great (I finally got how to italicize words the right way :) ), and I think I would buy it because I would definitely need to use it in the future!

Thank You Both!!! (not just because of your answer for my Inventory Question, but for also showing me how to italicize words...), and God Bless!
