Do you generate and upload 2 diferent .app (iPhone/iPad) for appstore?

Hi guys,

I have seen that "Universal iOS" option is a problem for some kind of games.
So I decided to have 2 iOS versions (one for Iphone, another for iPad).

I wonder how exactly you do this.
Do you upload 2 diferents .app to the appstore?

For example:
1/ com.yourweb.appiphone
2/ com.yourweb.appipad

And if I generate a "Iphone version" (Not universal) in the gamesalad portfolio, would this app be able on iPad? (I don´t want, because the overscan/letterbox makes a bad experience and because as I said I will have 2 diferent .app specific for each device).

Thank you.

You will need to build two apps though...and publish them in GS seperately. One for ipad and the other for iphone. Keep in mind even the iphone will have possible issues because of legacy and iphone 5 dimensions are different.

You will also need two seperate app IDs and provisioning profiles in your dev portal to do this.

However. If you could only be told where to find the templates (third party) and against GS TOS....you could build it once with a universal template. Of course someone could always just PM you with the answer....hmmm. Yes...PM. (Stupid loop holes)

They would have to have different names as well, right? Like "MyGame" and "MyGameHD" or similar? My app uses a template from the marketplace that makes it work and look perfect for any device you throw at it... and still I'm thinking about going this route. If you make a universal app, the Iphone app size will be the same as the Ipad size, witch is around 90 mb for my latest app and I think that is a bit much. I resized my graphics and just replaced them in the "images" folder and cut the size down by about half.
