Simple GameSalad questions

Heya, I'm new to Gamesalad and the community. I must say the program and community looks really nice. I'm playing with the free version at the moment and will buy the pro version soon - its just about time

I have a few questions about gamesalad tho:
1) I understand that the program is created to create GAMES. Is it anyhing bad/negative creating normal informative apps with it? (Like if it start any "video" processes in the phone to prepare it for games - so its heavier/overkill for the phone)

2) What opportunities do we have when it come to online gaming? Can we make 2 programs communicate? Play or send messages to eachother?

1. No worries, there are several people on the forums who have made non-game apps with Gamesalad.

2. Pro members have access to turn based multiplayer which is in beta testing right now and will be rolled out in the full version soon. Keep in mind its going to be a pro member feature.

what do you mean by video? right now GS doesn't support playing any videos of any kind. Just want to make sure you know that.
