Havent decided on laptop or desktop.
Actually about to buy a late 2013 MacBook Pro 2.3 Haswell. Was looking at a Mac Pro but the Macbook Pro is more power than I need and it is portable. I currently have an iMac and an older MacBook Pro.

Havent decided on laptop or desktop.
if you do any sort of traveling, get a 13" macbook air with 8GB of ram.
the 11" macbook is nice, but the screen resolution is too small.
I have the 15" retina macbook and it's perfect.
if this will be sitting on your desk, get an imac.
either way, look at the apple refurb store, you'll save 10-20% off the price and still get a full warranty.

Thanks.
I use an iMac at home and work, no problems with either.
