NEED HELP! Distance GUI and Landmarks for Distance Game!

Working on a distance game similar to something like Kitten Cannon where you want to shoot something as far as possible. I can't for the life of me figure out 3 things:

A] how to track the distance of the shot object on the X plane (I currently have it tracking both the X and the Y planes as a placeholder. You can't even tell its tracking the Y plane unless you shoot straight up)

B] How to get the tracked distance OFF of the shot object and be part of the UI (currently it is tracked on the shot object)

C] getting GS to spawn an actor to be a permanent land mark to show where previous shots stopped and to also display the distance.
