Gamesalad and Google Drive

I back up my Gamesalad projects on Google Drive so I can work on them on various machines, but notice if I download the project to another computer I often get errors that folders are missing. If I view package contents, sure enough, folders like "behaviors" and such are missing. Anybody else have this issue? I've even tried zipping the project before placing it on drive.

I don't think it matters
I've used dropbox for years for the exact same purpose, never had a problem as long as I made sure any changes I made on 1 machine were fully synced before working on another.
In doing some tests against the different services, dropbox always seemed the most responsive, dropbox/box/skydrive all seemed to have a lag in syncing

I agree that it's likely caused by the files not completely syncing before you try to open or copy them.
I've also used Dropbox for thousands of project files and had very few problems at all. I'm actually going to use Google Drive to store project files for the first time for my students who are building a game together but I'm a little apprehensive since I've never done that. It should work fine, though, assuming everything is synced.

Hmmm, I may see if I get the same issue on Dropbox. Everything is synced (as far as Google is telling me that is). It shows my Gamesalad files as successfully uploaded but when I open them from a different machine they are always missing the "behaviors" and "sound" folder....I don't have sound in my projects (yet) but opening the file and ignoring the errors, things run fine.
Ive had the same issue but it was using my Windows version then Macincloud to try and use the new builds. Always had 'behaviour file missing' errors.
But this is probably more due to the template I was using requiring the latest nightly build and then not running in windows. who knows

I've just experienced this exact issue. I was using Google Drive and lost folders and assets. It's not reliable for GS projects (mac packages I'm guessing). I switched to Yosemite iCloud and it worked perfectly. Unfortunately, GS is not running well on Yosemite for me, so I switched back to Mountain Lion, so I'll use Dropbox for now.

I've had this issue too with Google Drive. The files are fine on the 'source' computer, but if I try to use the remote files actually on Googles servers they are sometimes empty/corrupt. However it does not happen to every file every time. If I zip the files for storage on the remote server they are fine when un-zipped.

I use Google Drive and have had the same issue. For some reason the drive sync, sometimes, can't handle recursively syncing the folders inside the .gsproj. When I switch to another computer the folders inside the .gsproj, sometimes, are not there. There should always be one computer with all the folders and files. The last one you worked on when GameSalad Creator worked. You need to right click, in Mac, and click show contents of the .gsproj. Copy all of the files and folders inside the .gsproj into a "Clean" folder onto the desktop or anywhere besides Google Drive. Delete all of the .gsproj internal contents and let Google Drive sync. It will clear everything on all computers. After all computers have synced, a few seconds, place the files and folders back into the .gsproj from the "Clean" folder. Google Drive will now sync all files and folders to each computer. Let me know if you have any questions, I use Google Drive only.
