android publish

in iPhone and Android Publishing

If i orginally made my game using ipad format, what kind of rules do i need to put in to make it available for android? I would really like to start publishing for android but from what i have read it is very difficult. Do i need to rebuild my game completely? . Also if i build under nook landscape for example, how do i know it will work on actual phones. I really want to upgrade to be a pro member only for the reason of android publishing, but worry the process may be to difficult.
