Non featured ipad apps snuffed again by apple?

Maybe its a glitch but i cant get to anything for ipad on my computer.

I can click the ipad tab on top and see the featured stuff but when I actually try to look at a category it does not go there.
It just goes back to iphone.

So basically my computer has what my ipad does. I cant even get to a section like adventure or kids now.

unless you were top 100 OVERALL or featured you could only be found on the computer app store. I was hanging in the top 20 in my categories and getting around 20 DLs a day and around a 100 on my lite.

It cant be just my computer because my sales have been very consistant and they dropped about 90% yesterday which is also when this change happened.

I hope it is a glitch during an upgrade but it could also be to push teh featured apps. Less competition for the "paid" advertisers.

I'm afraid I can't either. And apparently this is the direction the iPhone store is heading as well.

I've seen on touch arcade that Apple seems to be trying to 'direct' the users to the 'better quality' applications. I'll see if I can find the thread.

However, Apple added the categories on the iPhone app store because of the developer outcry in the first place, so I certainly hope (and don't really think this is (entirely)) the case.

On iTunes (Mac) click on the app store button at the top of the screen. The next screen will show an iPad button you can click on. On the upper right of the screen you'll see games. Click on that then scroll down. To the right you should see all the game sub categories you expect.

Simple - no. It's because of this nonsense I won't buy an iPad for development and won't spend anytime on iPad games until I know Apple isn't going to just bury the indie titles. :)

So Thats it I guess. If you're not top 5o overall or featured none one will find you bat all now I guess.

Well I guess there is still all apps by date for about 10 minutes until another 167 learn to spell apps pop out the crap chute.

Right, but I'm saying You can click iPad at the top and you can see the categories. But when You click one it just takes you to IPHONE categories again.

Did you actually click on one of the categories and verify it is iPad apps

There's definitely something strange happening. When I click on the little iPad tab, then go to the Hot New Games image, it goes back to iPhone. I would assume they are just working on the store?

You're seeing the same thing i am then.

Its been like this since yesterday.

I didnt notice until i was on the adventure section and noticed nothing had the word "HD"

Now, I cant get to anything ipad other than the front page.

Well, if they are working on things, then I'm glad I missed my Friday launch date. HA HA! :)

Sorry James, you're right. Except now I don't even see the games link after hitting the iPad button. They must be changing and "improving" the store again.

Unity will be supporting Droid with the next release FYI...

jHaas, That's cool that Unity is supporting the Droid, I've always hoped for Droid support too, but I don't think that will happen for awhile

I noticed that too, they must be updating the N&N sections so for now they're linking you to the iphone section

I dont think its an update

Its now been like that for over 24 hours and they also removed the "games" under quick link s when you are on the ipad tab now.

The more games section at the very bottom right is now buried for both ipad and iphone. You have to hold on the app store black button to get the drop down which then gives you the more games section...after selecting iphone or ipad!!

This might all have to do with the International iPad launch on the 28th..I'm in Canada and the layout is different than the US iTunes Store. So I have a US account just so I can purchase apps for my iPad.

Doesn't matter if you select Ipad or iphone. Once you click "games" from the drop down it is the iphone game section only.

I still think the bigger apps are let down by sales and apple is trying to drive sales for them. Just a theory though.

I know there are some pretty companies that dont have a game in the overall top 100. I know apple has no problem pissing on us little guys but, i cant imagine this move will set well with anyone.

No visibility on the actual ipad was one thing but on the computer too. That just sucks.
I guess its not the end of the world but im really afraid they will do it to the iphone too.
    That would be brutal

I think they have. My audiobook is invisible unless I supply the link or you search for my name. Doesn't even show up in the genre list. Apple are a pack of pricks and I would love to kick Steve Jobs right in his stupid face.

I do like their computers, though ;)
