Count down timer with user unput?

in Working with GS (Mac)

I am trying to create a count down with this functionality

Timer starts at 0
Using arrow actors the user can increase and decrease the time.
Using a start actor a user can then start the countdown.

can someone please point me in the right direction for doing this?

    Search Google or the forums for timer gamesalad. Whenever I have a question about how to do something with GameSalad, that's where I start because there is almost always a very helpful video at the top of the results.

    Thanks, yes I did search before posting and have found a couple of threads that relate. I think I can nut it out myself
