wont work at all help please

Hello, I have downloaded gamesalad on my windows 7 machine. And it just won't work. I try to open the program and what I get is absolutely nothing. No screens nothing. No matter how many times I try or what I try nothing comes up. This is very frustrating because I'm sure this is the tool I need. I am familiar with the build style of this program. And I am almost sure I will be purchasing the pro soon after I get my hands in it a bit. Please help.....I'm desperate.

Thank you both, but in windows 7 there is no where for me to update the regional settings. And the problems they are having are a bit different. They are having problems while using the software. I cant even get the software to run. It just wont do anything at all when i try to open it.

start menu -> control panel -> region and language

Ok, They were already set properly. Iv updated my graphics driver and still no go.

I do run it as administrator, is it possible that some required software the comes with the install didn't install properly?
