Keeping touch controls on screen

Hi all, i'm sure i'm clearly missing the obvious here but ...
I've started throwing together a platform based scroller which looks a lot like our favourite plumber right now and i've got the keyboard controlling sorted no problem.
Now of course if i want this on the iPad etc i need touch controls. I've managed to design the touch controls thanks to Jamie Cross's tutorials but with my camera following the player these controls scroll off the screen .
Can someone point me in the direction of a basic tutorial to slap me into shape to correct this.
Many thanks in advance.

Its actually a quick, simple fiix, and should be explainable without needing a direct tutorial due to the small number of steps.
You go to your Scene pane in the editor, and it will show everything in the background layer. You need to create a new layer, and put your controls into that layer. Then you unclick the box on the scene that says Moveable. This will freeze them in place on the camera.
PERFECT!
I've completely forgot and have been ignoring layers, of course this is the way to do it .
Tested and working.
Many thanks.
