My project won't open!

I made a project in game salad and it was working fine, when I opened Xcode to run the viewer my project said "this project was created with a newer version of gamesalad" when I tried to open it within game salad menu (where it shows all the projects) so I restarted the game salad program and now the project doesn't even show up in gamesalad! Theres only a older version of the app! So I went to finder where I had saved the project and it says "unable to read file"!!! How do I get my project back?! I attached the project file that will not open for me or even show up in the game salad menu now... Also I moved the project to the trash on accident...when I moved the project file back out to finder where it was, I looked back in the trash and I had a lot of programming files like object.xml and keys.xml....I think that is from the game project? So how do I put the files back in the project so it will open again??
