Help - Camera issues

I have a door that spawns the player. I have a camera actor with the CONTROLS CAMERA on it, that constrains it's X,Y to the players X,Y via game variables (playerX,playerY)

The problem is, the camera doesn't follow the player.

Questions:

Does the camera control actor have to be active on the screen at the beginning? Or can it be spawned?

Is there a way to get the player to stay in the middle of the screen instead of scrolling only when he reaches the edge?

    How big is your scene ?

    Is your video on a Mac? I'm using the Windows version and I don't have those icons.

    Oh... and the scene is 960 high by 4800 wide. Under scene/camera... the camera is 480x360

    Oh geez... somehow... I dragged it into the HUD layer (non scrollable). Now I feel sheepish...

    Ah.. I see now. They are just large and oversized in my version...
