How to make my in game shop menu buttons display, purchased or not purchased properly?

Currently my shop menu has a problem where where it can't switch between purchased and not enough funds smoothly. It doesn't react to the first touch when the funds are insufficiant and sometimes does both at once when there is only enough cash to buy it one time. Any ideas on a simple way to do this would be much appreciated.

    Hi there :) I've actually created my own shop for my game. I could submit it as a free template and give you the link if you like? you'll just have to change the attributes that it updates.
