Gamesalad Viewer With Snow Leopard

micmamicma Member Posts: 66

Hey,
I recently purchased an IOS Developer Program and I am hoping to run my app on my iPhone using the viewer. However, I am still running gamesalad 0.9.94 because I have OSX Snow Leopard. (I have an old mac mini and the system requirements don't meet the standards to upgrade) My current XCode version is 3.2.6. I have followed both TShirtBooth's videos (The old and new videos), but apparently I don't have an architechture : "No architectures to compile for (ARCHS=, VALID_ARCHS=armv7)."
Is there still any way to get my game on my iPhone using the viewer and Gamesalad 0.9.94?

Thanks so much,
micma

I'm pretty sure GS won't let you publish anything with a version that old. I would look in to upgrading, if possible

You have to upgrade to at least Lion.

The system requirements are listed on the Creator download page:

Mac OSX Lion or Later. Xcode 4.6 with Command Line Tools and iOS Support. Android SDK for Android support.

Core 2 Duo or Later CPU required. Minimum of 2GB of RAM recommended.

@micma I too am using a Mac Mini. Mine is a mid 2010 one so if yours isn't an older model then you can probably upgrade it. I had "Snow Leopard" on mine too, upgraded to "Lion" when that came out, then "Mountain Lion" and I'm running "Mavericks" since that came out.

You most certainly will want to upgrade the RAM though and to 8GB and nothing less.
When using GS (and not anything else except for the OS/Mavericks) my RAM utilization will average between 5-7GB (when not dealing with very basic projects).

If you do go down the upgrade route then it is also very much worth it to replace the internal sata hdd with an ssd drive (check out youtube for video on how to do that). You can use time machine to clone your hdd.
