State of GameSalad on 6-2-2014
I'm back from my nice vacation... rested and raring to go. Let's get a jump on this week's post!
First off, I've finally updated the roadmap. Check it out here: http://www.gamesalad.com/roadmap
We've got several things that we're continuing to work on, of course. Most notably is dealing with the Apple IAP rejection issue. We believe we have a solution for this problem and are waiting for verification from Apple. You know what really gets me on this issue? It's been caused by a change to Apple's corporate firewall at the app review offices. It took us two weeks to get ahold of someone at Apple to help get to the bottom of this. And, once we got someone, it took over a week to diagnose the problem. The final comment from them was something like "Yeah, IT changed the firewall and we don't know why." Meh. Anyway, we've setup a passthrough server that's used during app review. This should solve the problem. Expect a new RC today with a final release once we've verified that the issue is fixed.
Beyond fixing this IAP issue, we're working on:
- Windows update for 0.11.
- 0.12 with Facebook integration and Google Play IAP.
- Graphics engine overhaul.
- Public facing bug database.
- New cross-platform Creator.
Check out the roadmap for more details. I'll do my best to keep that updated more regularly. I get lost in the deep dark code hole sometimes though. Someone throw me a rope!

Hate to ask for stuff, but is using any of the phone's natural stuff like the natural keyboard implementation a thought? Or camera?
Looking good guys! Some very exciting stuff in the pipeline. A few things I'm wondering @CodeWizard:
any plans to make layers dynamic? (Being able to move actors up or down in layers in-game)
Are expansion files for android in the pipeline? (So we can release google play games over 50mb)
Status if custom collisions?

In Android Revmob and Chartboost is showing black screen and increased loading time
In IOS Revmob is showing ads but increased loading time
In IOS Chartboost is only showing startup ads..and increased loading time

@CodeWizard @Dan_Chartboost In IOS, I have a quite simple app that has no issues until I add either Chartboost or RevMob into the App. Chartboost takes roughly 10-15 seconds and RevMob takes around 15-25 seconds just to load a full screen ad. When they are removed the app runs smoother than ever, does anyone have any idea what the issue could be? And in Android also same problem,plus out of 10 times just 2 times only it is snowing Ad(maximum time it is showing BlackScreen).This happens only with Android . I am using Release Candidate 0.11.1.5 Please help me !

Welcome back, glad you had a good time.
This update got me all excited. When all of these features are integrated into GameSalad cross-platform, I will then buy my Pro license. Until then, I will just continue to make more and more games and wait to release them.

@CodeWizard Accessing the camera or camera roll would be great feature for educational games.
@philipcc totally agree, camera and also ability to save screenshots to camera roll would open gamesalad up to a whole other range of app possibilities.

Multiplayer works right now, does not work with playtogether for now. You have to make you own sever (and php scripts). You can do what ever you want with it though, @The_Gamesalad_Guru. This is what was said at the meet group. They also have a guide on how to do this coming out soon.

Here's my challenge for you!
Be able to react to any changes from iOS 8 really fast, implement and get an update out in a few days after they announce what ever they announce. Maybe be it will be new resolution/aspect ration to combat those giant Samsung screens? etc
