Why negative vibe?

I don't know why the gloomy perspective of devs here on GS. Some say just pay for PRO for your satisfaction, or hobby.. not expect much to earn. Follow your dream of putting up your dream game and not make money matter, and money is the reason of all evil because of people like @‌GamesaladGuru (Bacon guy) said. Everybody say, 1st game always fail. Why is that?

When the devs at makingmoneywithandroid.com is spirit high up? They are at least making a couple of hundreds a day from advertising alone. Admob only. Average shitty games. 1st app even. Not even a paid game like Apple.

I think I know the reason. Because I think GS is limiting the income potential. They want to make a cut on every hardwork devs make. You know it takes hard work to come up with idea. And GS want to cash in on ours.

GS, why would you limit our income potential? Sorry for this. I would like to buy PRO but I thinking you are milking devs like me. Peace sir

Most people's first games fail to perform to their expectations because of inexperience - mainly with making games, but also how to sell them. Very few people pick up a violin and are immediately a virtuoso - it takes practice.

This is why a few people say 'Do it because you love it, not because of the money.'

Because if you don't enjoy it, you won't stick around past the first or second game, if you're only in it for the money.

When the devs at makingmoneywithandroid.com is spirit high up? They are at least making a couple of hundreds a day from advertising alone. Admob only. Average shitty games. 1st app even. Not even a paid game like Apple.

Good for them! (apart from the 'shitty games' bit - that's never good).

I think I know the reason. Because I think GS is limiting the income potential. They want to make a cut on every hardwork devs make. You know it takes hard work to come up with idea. And GS want to cash in on ours.

How is GS limiting your potential income? Is it because they ask you to pay for pro to publish to Android? So you want to be able to publish to iOS and Android for free?

Also, I have more ideas than I can possibly make. It's not hard work to come up with an idea. The hard work is in executing it, and GS lets you do that just fine.

GS, why would you limit our income potential? Sorry for this. I would like to buy PRO but I thinking you are milking devs like me. Peace sir

Buy Pro. Publish to Android. GS is not milking you. It's giving you a service in return for money.

    Hope that helps.

Because that is a website that relies on people believing (true or not) that they are making lots of money and happy with the state of things in order to drive traffic to their site.

GameSalad have to charge for their product. It isn't unreasonable. All similar tools charge in some way or another. If you want to avoid paying for GameSalad, make your game using Xcode. If you are not capable of doing that, consider again if GameSalad are providing you with something worth paying for.

It took me 3 years to make any decent money when i started developing games many moons ago even with a couple of retail publishing deals with 2 PC games (one with walmart in the US) and a game publish via chillingo for iPhone but they didn't really bring in a nice income and it's took me 4 years to get any money out of one of the publishers but would I change anything? No way it's been too much fun and every knock back and failed deal just made me stronger and more determined.

As you make more games you learn from previous mistakes and learn to listen to user feedback, some people have a little luck maybe a feature here and a feature there but good games still shine through the rubbish and if nothing else you have a nice cv :)

Don't give up your day job I'm sure you've heard this before but it's vital you do this part time until you start earning IMO as you will put far too much pressure on yourself to make money and might cut corners to get games out too quickly.

Above all get a good team if you can't do art and music, see the team right and be fair, what goes around comes around and have fun, you only live once.

    Darren.

Have you been in the forums lately sheep? Evryone been saying 1st game is fail. like gamesaladguru bacon. not just him but everyone. anyone made a 1st game success on GS? have you sheep quantum?

making a couple of hundreds dollar per day from shitty games not good? why?

no, limited income possibilities in android like admob, etc. android devs make hundreds of $ per day. but GS only in-app purchase. and in tizen and amazon.

i dont mind paying for pro. just dont limit dev income.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to really understand what you're saying, and you've moved into insulting people en mass and at random, so I'm going to stop engaging in this thread after this post.

You are trying to compare "android devs" to "GS", which is... bizarre. GameSalad games can be published to Android. So your point is presumably either that the lack of Android IAP is causing GameSalad devs to lose "hundreds of dollars a day", or you're trying to say that more money is to be made on Android than iOS.

If it's the former point you're making, then sure, GS are limiting our income by not providing Android IAP. But it's functionality that they say will be in the next release, so I don't mind being patient a little longer.

If it's the latter point you're making, then start by considering your source - a barely better-than blog-spam site with a serious motivation for bias. After you've considered that, have a look at this link:

You're quite free to code your own game from scratch or use another engine and monetize it however you think is best.

I'd adopt an attitude of Gs allows me to make games so easily, instead of GS doesn't let me do anything!

You're priorities don't align with every user, and monetization through ad revenue or iap isn't even on my list of wanted things. That being said, of course there is things the GS team need to add, but you can't do everything, you know?

First game? No. I'm on game number 14 right now. My first game was awful and is no longer for sale. It had some nice ideas, but my standards have risen over the years!

I'd like to think my more recent games are a lot better :)

making a couple of hundreds dollar per day from shitty games not good? why?

Well, this is a subjective point of view I guess. I don't like to make money if it means someone else is maligned in some way.
Shitty games mean you've sold something shitty to someone. Knowingly (or you wouldn't call them shitty games).
Some people are ok with that. I'm not. I'd rather take pride in selling something that I think is worth the asking price. Just my point of view.

no, limited income possibilities in android like admob, etc. android devs make hundreds of $ per day. but GS only in-app purchase. and in tizen and amazon.

I know very few android devs that make any income. As I don't use advertising or IAP I'm not really qualified to answer your points. Sorry.

i dont mind paying for pro. just dont limit dev income.

    NO insult armaline :D

Android devs like GS also. But limited by GS. Android devs are making money 100's dollars per day. Only if GS allow like past. And GS allow import of .ipa and. apk for us devs like in the past. Then allows us to edit then inject ads in our own. Or edit our binary. but not anymore.

Dont know what you coming up. Please explain.

    @quantumsheep‌
What was your first game that made you money/rich? Did I say 14? Thank you!

Why are you guys defensive? I just wanted to push GS to its limits. Actually, I wanted them to give us devs what we ought to be having. And you keep on defending it? Why? Now I know the employes are. Fuckers!

P.S. the android devs are really cashing it in!

I really don't think people are being defensive. The creating the negative vibe here is, unfortunately, you. Your argument amounts to this:

Why should I pay for Photoshop? Adobe are limiting my ability to make money from the pictures I make by not giving me the software for free! Anyone who says otherwise is just a defensive sheep!

As has been stated multiple times: You have two options. Accept that GameSalad saves you enough time and effort to be worth the fee, or make your game with another tool.

P.S. the android devs are really cashing it in!

You keep saying this, but it just isn't true. There are numerous sources out there that say iOS devs make more money than Android devs. Please provide a source for your repeated assertions that Android devs are making all this great money.

I'd be very impressed if it did as it's half finished and unreleased.

NO i dont pay for photoshop. Are you?? My brother pays for photoshop. He is graphic designer i new york. What do you mean?

So in other words my point is entirely valid...

Your source of information is a site with little to no credibility and a vested interest...

What is not true? you paid 300 dollars and not gain investment? NO game yet?

Actually I've made more than enough money from GS to pay for pro.

It does indeed seem like you're here either to troll or to market that site... Poorly.
