Changing landscape to portrait?

I made this game and my sister and I think it'll look much better in portrait mode BUT am more than half way through the game and I don't wanna reset it. So I was wondering would it be as easy from changing 480 by 320 to 320 by 480? Will that work? thanks :)
(also I'm on windows so I'm not up to date with mac users so if I can change it will 320 by 480 be optimized for the iphone 4's and up?)
