overlapping semi-transparent images

I have 2 images that are both at around 17% transparency. When they overlap, the parts that are overlapped appear darker because the 2 colors have been added together. I don't want this to happen is there a way that I can disable it?

Hmmm.. I think that's just the way the world works. i.e. two bits of transparent cellophane (plastic coloured sheets) overlapping would create a darker colour.

You can try experimenting with the 'blending mode', in the actors graphic settings.

You've got a choice of Opaque, Additive, Screen and Multiply. But this will mean any thing below your images layer will be effected when it goes over the top. Worth trying them out anyway so you know what's what.

The only reason I ask is because when I change devices some of my actors do this. They stretch effect changes my actors and causes them to go out of line
