Adhoc built with old version - White Actor and crash

Hey all - maybe someone here has tried this or knows if there's a way to fix this:
I have an update for my game ready that was saved in GS 8.6. I finished the update after 8.6 was released, figuring I would be able to compile shortly after the fix came out and could submit to Apple. However, this is taking far longer than expected and I need to get this update out so I'm trying to work around it.
The recent GS :Big Picture Part 2" mentioned how from now on previous versions would be available for a short time after release.
"starting with the next GS update, we will provide a grace period, during which both the new and previous version of the software will be available.....to allow people to complete and publish games with the previous version before upgrading."
From this I understood it to be that when you hit Publish in GS tool that it compiles it with whatever version you are using. In other-words, had I not upgraded to 8.6 I could have continued to finish my game's update and gotten a good working file (without the collision problems 8.6 has) back to submit.
So, what I did was search around and get a GS 8.5 installer. I was able to revert my GS back to 8.5 on my computer, however my game files would not open - giving the message "was saved in a newer version"
I then went through the application files and changed all the XML data to reference the older version. I compared data in the files to my old version (saved in 8.5) and changed a few things in the XML files. I changed the GS Tool version number, and something else (forgot what it was at the moment, something with page file versions or something?). I had to change all the scene files, and all the actor files.
Making these changes I was able to open the file in GS however it would not preview. I realized that there was a significant change to the gravity in 8.6, so I went through the scenes (the XML files) and changed the gravity code back to what it was in 8.5 - 1 direction only real value.
In the end (sorry for the lengthy post) I was able to get my game to open and RUN in 8.5! It previewed on the computer, and the GS viewer (8.5 version) just like it was supposed to! I was so excited!
I then went to publish my file to do final testing in hopes to submit to Apple, and I installed an adhoc version on my phone. However, the application opens (after GS logo) to my first scene with a white image in the center (my company logo actor I assume) - sits there for a sec then crashes to my home screen.
Does anyone know why this is? I'm still unsure if GameSalad is compiling on their end using 8.6, or if there's something I forgot to change in the XML files, or what. If anyone knows why this is doing this, and how to fix it I would be SO FREAKING APPRECIATIVE! If GameSalad crew can point me to how to fix this if possible that would amazing as well!
Thanks for any help on this

Yeah, It's just not 100% clear based on that post. I emailed GS over a week ago asking for clarification on if I'd be able to compile a file I make in 8.5 correctly, or if it would compile with 8.6 - but they have never responded...
Also, we apologize for the delay in getting 0.8.7 out the door, but some of the fixes are taking longer than expected as we've been having issues replicating some of the errors. Last week, we posted a request for people with issues to please send us their projects so we could have a better look at what problems people were encountering (http://gamesalad.com/forums/topic.php?id=6863)
At this point, we have still only received one project. We're hoping to have an update very soon, but we're still working on some of the issues. The best way to help us get the update out faster would be to send us project files and information through our Zendesk submission page.
Again, sorry for the delay and please know that we're working as fast as we can on getting 0.8.7 to you.
Only 1 file??? I assume that's mine I sent...If you can let me know if they did not get mine (Snow Trax) I can send it again.
Also, if you can tell if they are having a hard time reproducing my game's collision issues please let me know. If I can help explain my game's issue better to someone I'd be happy to try to elaborate.
Anything to help and get this fixed.
Thanks.
