FREE typewriter dialogue/story display template

I was just sorting through my "Tests" folder, where I try out little ideas, and found I had this little template that provides a way of producing the "typing" effect that you find in many games when they're displaying dialog or story. Thought I'd throw it out here for free.

It includes two characters, and pulls the text, which character is saying it, and the settings for typing speed etc. from tables.

It automatically wraps text as it types it in order to avoid words "jumping" down to the next line when GameSalad's text display wraps them.

You can tap on the typing text to auto-complete it. One thing I didn't get around to, and might revisit soon, is that when you tap it uses GameSalad's wrapping, so if your text is half-done it will shift around a bit. This can be avoided if you pre-process and store each line of text, but I didn't bother to do that just yet.

All the art is from Google and copyright the respective owners. NONE of the art is free to use in your own projects unless you identify the owners and obtain their permission. This template is free as in beer, not as in speech. You are welcome to use it in your own projects but you are not free to sell it, re-host it or include any aspect of it in a template you do sell.

If I had a voice reading up the text, what do I do to change the template?

• It's probably REALLY easy but I'm way too green using Gamesalad to figure it out. I just succeeded in having the sound AFTER the text appeared.
