Yes, however it would still require coding at heart. It would be a very different product than GameSalad and would I imagine be more like Xcode for windows. However its all rumors and speculation. :)

I think I tried Visual Studio back when XNA was new. I was thinking of making games for the XBOX 360 and PC. That didn't work out well. It was hard... really really hard!

If Visual Studio does go to Mac, I think it's more of a problem for Unity and Torque. GameSalad has an edge in that it's not directly working with code. Heh, more visual development.

This seems like more evidence of what I suspected. I think Microsoft and Apple are forming an alliance to fight Google.

I'd welcome Visual Studio and a ported SDK to the Mac OS.

Make sense if they team up since they are a bit outside each others' mainstays (peoples' mindsets) to some extent.

I agree. The GameSalad concept is vastly different to that of VS, and thus attracts different types of developers. However it all depends on how it's implemented. I would imagine most VS developers would be fairly resistant to learning obj-C, (i know some that positively hate it). So would the market be ripe for GS style game dev plugins?

Rumors can be dangerous things. Last time i acted on a rumor i got slapped by Susan Hemming behind the bike shed.

Personally I don't think GS will ever be safe until it's bought up by Apple. That's not a another rumor, just a personal wish :)
