HELP! Need a way to track affiliate installs!

Ok I really need help with a way to track affiliate marketers installs. I already have a couple people who are willing to advertise my app on a CPI basis but need a way to track how many downloads they produce from each of their efforts. I know you can`t incorporate SDKs into Gamesalad apps yet, but is there any way to do this?

Have the affiliate generate a unique number that identifies that affiliate when a user clicks on the button. When they download the app they have to input the number for the app to work. The app then sends it to your server and the affiliate's if you want too, so you and they know it was downloaded and installed.

The problem with this idea is if a new user discovers your app another way they would not have a number to open the app. It would have to be either input the number or skip this step. The incentive to input the number would have to come from the affiliate side i.e. use this number to get x when you open the app. It may not be practical to give x through the app it might have to come from the affiliate.

It will be interesting to hear ideas from others it is something I haven't considered before but will be possible with the new Network actions.

@csappforlife, no even other development tools have a sdk solution which does a 1 to 1 match from affiliate to actual app install. It is all a numbers game on statistical correlations.

If we can get the data from the affiliate (product and time of referral), then we can do the same with our solution (see signature).
