State of GameSalad on 7-30-14

Hello once again everyone. I’ve gathered some updates for you since last weeks’ State of GameSalad post:

  1. Acquiring Together Games! As many of you may know, we’ve recently acquired Together Games, the makers of the asynchronous multiplayer game server platform that we integrated with earlier in the year. This acquisition ensures that we can provide managed server hosting for all of our users that want to put asynchronous multiplayer into their apps!   2. New nightly build. Not much to update here. Still very close and we’re working to get one out as soon as possible. Again thanks for your patience guys!

  3. Public facing bug database! This is now being tested by some selected users and if all goes well will be in your hands very soon!

  4. Release 11 for Windows users! Work for release 11 for Windows is still going slow and steady and it’s making good progress. There’s still a couple major issues and a handful of features still in progress before it’ll be ready to be released, so still a little ways off.

  5. Maintenance build 0.11.1. We're still heads down working on getting it out for you guys. Not much new to report on this front other than it's still quite close and getting ever closer to release.

  6. Release 0.11.2. Still planned to come out after 0.11.1 and also not much new to report. Still have progress being made on it and it’s still a little ways off.

  7. Release 0.12.0. Still pretty much the same as last week. It’s getting some work on it done here and there and will receive more work when the other releases get finished and pushed out.

  8. New marketplace. Some progress is being made on this front as well and it’s still a ways off. More news in the future.

  9. Cross platform creator. Still can’t talk about it. Just know it’s making lots of great progress every week :)

  10. Cookbook Definitions Page. With the update awhile back to our Cookbook the definitions page was lost and that upset some of our users. I’m happy to announce that it is now back in the Cookbook in the getting started section with the title “Glossary” and will be updated soon with the definitions it’s missing.
