Application Loader Question??????

HI.
So I have developed my app, created all my certificates and profiles, Published the app through gamesalad an signed the app.
zipped up the downloaded app and started application loader. Once this has started it all seems to be running ok, gets to authenticating with the iTunes store (seems ok), then verifying metadata with iTunes store and fails with the error Unable to authenticate the package 904682042.itmsp, that's as far as it gets.

the errors are: **communication error. Please use diagnostic mode to check connectivity, You need to have outbound access to TCP port 443.

An exception has occurred: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathbuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target.

Could not connect to Apple's web service.

Unable to authenticate the package: 904682042.itmsp

Transporter update failed with unexpected execption.

sorry for the long winded explanation but need to get some answers if possible.

HI.
seem to have worked it out. it was my firewall blocking the outbound TCP port 443, turned off my firewall until the upload was completed and then turned it back on.
4 days of pulling my hair out and it was a simple fix.......
