Advertising with I ads
Hi I was thinking about doing some paid advertising through iads. I was wondering if any of you have done it, and if so was it affective? Trying to make sure its worth the investment. I was to advertise the following games. If you guys like them enough please let me know. Or any other updates that I should do. I have taking what feedback I got from you guys, and friends and updated the "this close" app, I am seriously considering forking over the money to advertise them, just want to make sure its worth it.

Honestly speaking, I wouldn't bother at the moment. But not because promoting through iAds wouldn't be worth it. These are the reasons:
A ) You've linked us only the apps in the app store. No promotional video, no 'poster' or something like that. Focus on that first. Make a gameplay video of the games and post it around forums and Facebook. See how people react to the videos, how much traction you get. The simple fact is, if you cannot get people excited by videos of the game, you probably won't generate any sales through paid ads (that's a fact, I've tried, heh). You pay for showing the ad, which doesn't mean people will click on it, or download anything.
Also, when I look at your app pages, there is a very limited amount of screenshots. You should try to have five or four -- three is the minimum, really. One or two snaps tells potential customers absolutely nothing. On top of that, make sure the screenshots do a good job of promoting the game (but are truthful at the same time). Pick interesting moments where just seeing the screenshot makes you want to play the game. Make sure the shapes are all in proportion. Your iPhone screens are stretched to vertical, and the iPad ones too horizontal (check the moon shape -- egg or pancake).
B ) Make more games first, work on your skills and keep your cash for promoting a bigger game that you'll put a lot of work and sweat into. I know, that sounds like every game, ha, but I mean a game you will work on for a month, or several.
That's my opinion.
@pHghost thank you for the feedback. As you know i am new at this lol. I do not even know how to add more screenshots when publishing. Is it on itunes? Or when publishing through gamesalad? Also i dont know the first thing about naking videos. And the "this close" game is a quiz game similiar to the moron test not sure how I would make a gameplay video for that. Guess i need to make a better game that warrants a video, to be honest this are just basic apps. Thanks for the feedback again. Im just going to concentrate on making a better game first. Dont get me wrong though this games are fun. But the gameplay is pretty basic.
Thanks,
Kip
No problem.
You can add more screenshots when submitting the app in iTunes Connect. On the page where you have to add a screenshot, you can click the 'add image' button more times.
I've still to master making proper videos myself. But the first one doesn't have to be a masterpiece, just to show off what the app feels like when you play it, just recording the screen. 20 seconds or so is enough. For a bigger video, you can wait for a longer game.
All my apps so far are also basic. I've just one in the Store (and another one in review), and am working on a more. I have tried advertising for my released game and honestly I feel it was money wasted. I have some bigger projects in progress, though those might take more time, but once those are done, I will probably go and promote them through ads, but not any of the other smaller ones.
@pHghost what are your apps? Ill download and rate for you if youd like
