    Look --->

    We can go on a debate about paid products, about the fact that GS wears beta badge for how many? 7 Years? About Beta as a defense, but I won't. People are already argued about it. Just wanted to share a bit of my 4 years experience with GameSalad. Also the fact that I've never believed that famous saying, until I've experienced myself.

    @imGua‌, This is going to be harsh and I'm sorry but not sorry. It needs to be said! I'm guessing you and MANY others just don't understand and get it. They aren't using "beta" as a defense. Gamesalad will ALWAYS be in beta. If you and everyone else having an issue with it being in beta actually opened your eyes, you would see that the other game creators (Unity, Corona SDK, UDK, GMS, etc.) just to name a few are ALSO in beta and will ALWAYS be in beta. There will NEVER be a completed, finished product of these services and you have to pay money in one form or another for all of them and they have all been around for years. So before you and others start or continue going on your lack of knowledge rants, do your research and understand the facts! It is just extremely annoying when people start ranting and bashing something with out the proper knowledge, facts, and/or understanding. Here are some screen shots so you can see for yourself.

    Also, just to help you all out, here's a definition of Beta. Testing a pre-release (POTENTIALLY UNRELIABLE) version of a piece of software by making it available to selected users. This term derives from early 1960s terminology for product cycle checkpoints

    Notice the two words I highlighted; Testing & POTENTIALLY UNRELIABLE

    *If you have an issue with it being in beta and there being bugs in the software then STOP using it and learn to hard code everything yourself. There are ALWAYS going to be bugs and things that once worked will stop working then work again. Put in a bug report, help them get the bugs fixed and STOP complaining and going on rants about stupid stuff. Everyone is tired of hearing it.

    P.S.>Sorry for posting other products in here but needed to make my point.

    If your studio or if you really needed these things (what GS has roadmapped), you would have been on another platform a long time ago. You don't sit arround and wait for it to happen when there are exhisting slutions.

    • and I should also say and if you don't need these things (bugs and breaks)... same thing.

    @KillerPenguinStudios, Unity is not in beta. Versions you are showing, just new versions of the software, without label beta. They have separate beta releases. I've put bug reports, maybe even hundreds of them. By the way, even that system was buggy, causing a lost of bug reports. I hate arguing on the internet and I love GameSalad community, but I do believe that criticism lead to a good changes. Also I was holding it inside of me for 4 years. I've tried to put in a more humorous form, but I guess I've faild. :( But I had too let it out of me. Peace. <3

    @RP, I don't sit around, I've switched to other engine. Yet, there is still a reason for me to be passionate about those things. I've got a 3 years project made with Game Salad, that I want to release as Free with Ads, I want to release it on Google Play, I want to port it to OUYA and PC and I don't want to rebuild it on a new engine, cause I've got new games to make.

    I'm not saying your are sitting around (I know that you have published games), but your projects will if you are waiting for GS features to occur (I'm talking about waiting on GS). GS has been in Beta for a ridiculous amount of time now. I love the software, but I could go on about some grievances I have...,but it's in beta land. What GS is doing is their thing. I just treat the last working build as a complete knowing the limitations of what it can do before I start a project with no expectation of integrating new features. - Doing so usually f-s a game anyway. "Oh a new feature! I just have to use because it's there! Everyone else is doing it!" - That's not good game design. I'm sure you get me. ;)
