Important iPad Dev Question

Hi guys and gals,
I saw on here that someone had submitted an iPad version of their iPhone app and it was rejected by Apple for not offering anything different from the iPhone version.
My question is, if I submit an iPad version of my iPhone app which is identical, yet has iPad resolution graphics, will they knock it back? Has anyone else do this? It's a simple app and I really can't think of anything worth adding to it to make it "better" or "different enough".
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I dont know the situation but, half the games on the ipad are the same just with higher res graphics.
However, I don't think the name can be identical. If you add HD or something like that be sure to add "HD" to your title screen in the game as well. They have rejected plenty of apps for the title not matching the in game title.
Hope that helps a little.
The iPad already offers pixel doubling, and all iPhone games work on the iPad.
They want to avoid the situation where the customer pays for essentially the exact same app twice.
If you want to make an iPad app, and the only thing different is larger graphics, they advise you to make a "universal" app, which is an app bundle that contains BOTH the iPad and the iPhone versions. The device will detect the correct version to display.
But like tempowebdesign says, GS does not currently offer a way to make universal apps.
Also, I noticed there is not option to choose iPad when uploading the app to itunes... is this normal? Do I just upload as usual?
And if I had to choose, which would be better at the moment, releasing iPhone or iPad versions? Which would be more likely to sell at the mo?
My advice is to submit as is, but happily change it a bit if they ask you to.
With the iPhone you have a 12 hour (I think thats how long they keep it in the new release section) window where 85 million people can see you app under that category's new release!
Until the user base for the iPad grows to match these numbers, the iPhone is probably your best shot if you HAVE to choose!

I would suggest the iPad market is different to the iPhone market, maybe a little more sophisticated. If you tailor your apps this way then you'll see more success.
