Where to start?

Hi! I am brand new at this and have no idea where to start. I have tried to use a few different YouTube videos, but they all seem to be using a different layout for GS than I have, so I get lost within minutes of the video (My version is the basic 0.10.5). My question is simple; can someone please point me to a good series of video or posts that will teach me how to use this program? I will probably start with either puzzle or platform games, but I would love to see what I could do with the system. All help is appreciated. Thank you.

    Start with the cookbook videos. Gamesalad go to Help then cookbook videos.

    Mac version and PC version look different.

    There are also templates you can buy that can help you get started.
