Testing on an iPhone - little help, please? :)

Hey guys,
Pretty simple (I think) question for those of you already test your games on a an Apple device.
I have seen the video about adding a device and such in your Apple account; I understand that.
I'm getting an iPhone (hopefully) this weekend; then creating an Apple account - I wont be paying the license fee for a couple of weeks though while I wait to be able to afford it.
I will be buying my GS license this week also.
My question to you is - can I add my device to Apple and then use it for testing without first having an Apple license?
Please let me know
Thanks - hope this all makes sense.

That goes for your own games as well as the GS Viewer app.
You cannot put anything on your device without an Apple license.
With just the GS license, you COULD publish an app and try to sell it directly on the App Store, but I really recommend testing your game on actual devices first.
I assume the answer is no, but if I compile the app - like in prep for an upload to the app store - then can I put it on my iPhone?
Also, don't worry - I wont be submitting anything until it is thoroughly tested
I don't think there's any way around it. You need to have both to do any testing.
Unless of course you had a friend with a apple developer account and got them to sell it on your behalf.
I know I can't upload it to the store without a license - that's fine. I was just hoping I could test it on the device prior to purchasing the Apple license and submitting it.
No worries though; will get the phone just to play around with - then buy my Apple and GS licenses when I get paid around the 17th. (I do affiliate marketing crap so sadly I don't get paid weekly/fornightly >.<')
Last thing as you will (both) undoubtedly know - it is the Apple distributor account I need to submit apps, isn't it?
And then from the dashboard or whatever in there I can add devices?
Sorry - I'm not as stupid as it appears, lol - just new to this side of things.
