How make fake iAds (ads) appear in GS viewer for iOS?

Hi Hello,

I am just wondering if i haven't clicked any buttons or anything. I was doing a quick test with the "banner ad" behaviour in hopes to use the GS ad example to see if they are in the way of gameplay etc.

However in GS it says, ads will be displayed, please use viewer to see an example.
Load up the app in GS viewer and there is nothing?
I am just after the fake ones GS puts in?
Or is the only way I am going to be able to see any fake ads is register for the real ads.

Thanks

They will only show up in adhoc testing or when published

@gingagaming So I can't even test to see what space or how they will interact without going through a whole process of setting it up through connect.

I was watching Tutorials and the fake ads appeared, and now GS tells me to use the viewer to see where ads will appear.. is this not true?

I'm having the same problem, I think. in the Creator, it says I get a popup message. When I make a developer build to my iphone. I see nothing. I have Apple iAds checked in the publishing page.

Are there any obvious things you think I could be missing? I don't see any other ads. So I know my PRO subscription is on.

    @Jeromy

Banner ads are in game salad proportions 50 pixel in height
Just use a default actor and drag it at the very bottom or top and stretch in full in length.

To also be sure it works for iPhone 4 make the actor 100 pixel in height.

If they sometimes should be shown sometimes not just give the actor the behaviors you would use for the banner too.

That's how I do it always to get a feel about proportions of a banner.
Don't forget to remove the actor before shipping :P

iAds are 320x50 so if by chance you were making a game for legacy iPhone...just make a temporary actor of those dimensions and place it on top or bottom. It will just be a white rectangle so you can develop accordingly.

Are they still going to appear at the bottom and be able to be touched normally if camera is rotated. Since actors touch boundaries mess up I was wondering if it also happens for iAds?

Sorry. My experience is with portraight orientation only...and in stretch mode. However....if you tell the attribute to be at the bottom it should, regardless of orientation. I don't believe it will be across the entire bottom in landscape mode.

I would suggest prior to your build...to insert the code for iAds and do a quick ad hoc test. Turn your device in several positions an see what happens.
