Is it worth it making all those efforts??

Hi

I was working hard on my game last night and suddenly a negative thought came to mind.
I asked myself "why am i doing this?" "for me alone?"
All this time and ideas for what?
Getting app on the app store is way to hard.
Does anybody sometimes think why your doing this?

My dream would be of course that some people play my game and like it but the
obstacles to get there seem enormous.

Anybody can give me positive energy?

    Anything you do in life worth doing is hard. Game making is not for the faint of heart. Most game makers do it because they have a drive or passion to create. Drive and passion are a must in this business. If you don't have the passion maybe game making isn't for you. Find what you passion is and dive into it. Most successful people interviewed share this common trait in that what they were doing was a passion they had. When you have passion for something it's not really like work to your mind. I've been at this for nearly five years, took me a year to get to guru status with GS, every time I code I learn something new. I love doing this and I never think of it as labor only a labor of love!

    As a follow-up to what @The_Gamesalad_Guru‌ said -- at the same time, it is perfectly normal to have doubts now and then. Even the people who are best (really good) at what they do, sometimes have spells of doubts.

    And then it actually takes having passion to pull you through. Is it hard? Yes. Will nobody probably play your game? It's possible. But you have to not care on some level -- do it just for the sake of it, for the love you have for making games.

    Then, hopefully, it will all come together and you will be the next Tim Schaffer. ;)
