Asplosion #43 in top paid iPad games!

After the first day of sales, Asplosion! has exceeded my expectations. By a lot. According to Topappcharts.com:

#12 in Strategy Games (iPad)
#12 in Puzzle Games (iPad)
#43 in Top Games (iPad)
#109 in Top Apps (iPad)

    That's awesome and you deserve those rankings! It's a seriously addictive game, and one of the best iPad games I've played next to Star Daze! LOve the graphics too!

    I wanted to know, where did you get your music? It's one of the best parts of the game! Really goes well with the gameplay, AND, how did you make your game 6mb or so with that many tracks? Are they short tracks, or tell me how you condensed them!

    The music wasn't compressed at all, it's just that each track is around 15-25 seconds.

    And they are from soundsnap.com. Absolutely amazing site for sounds.

    I use soundsnap.com for a lot of sound effects, they're great! Great soundtracks!

    Wow, congratulations, I was expecting it to do really well.

    Hope it climbs some more and gets into the top 100 overall, I can't wait to play it when I get the chance.

    @Eastbound, is it too early to see how the elevated ranking has affected sales? I'm just wondering if there is revenue to back up all of iPad hype. Thanks!

    Well I know that it sold around 250 units yesterday, which is what got it to the status I originally posted. So yes, there is definitely money to be made in iPad games.

    And hopefully the success of the iPad version can transition to a lot of iPhone version sales, because I'm willing to bet 90% of iPad users own an iTouch or iPhone.

    Wow, you are truly the man! Asplosion HD is featured front and center on the iPad game page and main page on N&N! I think you quite possibly could make it to the top 10. Also my game Doodle Cannon HD is on the iPad main page (not the game page for some reason) for What's Hot. This is on the recently updated desktop iTunes. Does anyone w/ an iPad know if our games are featured on the device?

    They just updated a little over a hour ago, so I can't tell yet. I'm hoping that our games are featured on the actual iPad though because that's what matters.

    Here are the results on my iPad App Store (the actual device)

    Asplosion HD is on the overall featured page under new and noteworthy!

    Under catagories:
    Games- On the featured new and noteworthy page one!

    Doodle Cannon is on the main featured page under the whats hot tab! It is on Page one!

    This is on the actual device so you guys are getting some great exposure!

    I am working on a game with simular gameplay, so you have really set the bar high for me! It is deffinently alot of fun!

    Only 250 units when you are on New and Noteworthy? That seems like a really low number to me. What are the total sales you have so far? And on a side note, I wish more people would post their sales figures. I would love to see what is selling, not selling out there.

    250/day is awesome for New and Noteworthy! That is what my games did when they were featured.

    Congrats on your success! The game looks really polished! I am away from my iPad for a few days, but I will buy it when I get back!

    @joemauke- That was his figure for release day before it was featured (as it just got featured this afternoon). His app is like 27 top games right now so I think the number will be a lot bigger tomorrow. Let us know Eastbound :)

    Well I've been told 52 and 55 do not work. Please let me know if you experience this.

    But I had no idea I was on N&N yesterday, though. That's awesome!

    Haven't blue starred 52 yet. i did notice that i had completed column 7 but it failed to unlock 55, i think i had to redo 31 for it to unlock. This may have been a similar case for the case for 52, i can't remember.

    They are all unlocked anyway. Are you saying they can't unlock 52, 55 or can't achieve get blue stars in 52, 55? i've blue starred 55, 52 is being a pest.

    EDIT - blue starred 52 now. No such problems here.
