Just stopping by to tell the latest achievement of #poodleinvasion
it has just been featured at indiegames.com "the weblog"!!
the software can still be in beta, but what really matters are your ideas!!

Poodle Invasion is one of my fave ever GS games. Actually, scratch that. One of my fave games on the iPhone, regardless of how it was made!

PS Really like the font you've used as well; I guess the text is as images, being an unusual font. I thought recently it'd be nice for GS to include a typeface bitmap font editor at some stage, i.e put bitmaps of each letter/number and GS could do the rest. Don't know what anyone thinks about that.

Having said that, I guess we're stuck with the fonts in the iPhone/iPad, otherwise it'd surely replace them with a default font. If anyone intends to use a lot of text in a game app and wants a font not supplied, it might become memory-hungry with a lot of text graphics, as you know. A bitmap editor/generator would do the trick (as you know as well!!).
OK, thinking out loud now (as I was in the last para anyway ;-) the generator to replace each letter as the graphic supplied would have to be woven into the finished app I would think, so that would negate any saved memory anyway...
Right; thought it through; forget the bitmap generator; I'll stick with iPhone/iPad fonts or graphics...
