Do iPhone devs get a store discount at the Apple store?

Hi all, the title says it all...

I only ask as I *may* be investing in a new laptop, and Appchogie mentioned at the London meet that developers get an Apple store discount of 10%

Anyone tried it?

Not sure about devs, but I went into a store and got them to extend the educator discount to me for my white macbook. I just printed an ad for a "brick and mortar" store that sold it for WAY cheaper and they said they could take 10% off at the most...

Found this. http://developer.apple.com/membership/hardware.html

It let me into the US ADC store and add a discounted (new) macbook pro to my cart and get all the way to the "place order" screen...

Edit: I read the FAQ on the ADC program and it says that it is being phased out to make way for the new mac and iPhone dev programs, and that the new programs do not have hardware discounts associated with them.

It depends. I normally get a discount, sometimes i get free stuff. But i hear it's not the same for all developers. I just tell them i'm MrFunkleberry and they're usually falling over themselves to give me what ever i want. I'd didn't realise my name meant so much in Apple circles. Of course, it could be the samurai sword strapped to my back, but i think it's the name that impresses them the most.
