Hi All,

So I just created a free game which surprisingly I'll include the link to below for android.
Still waiting on the app store as ever was the case.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.swifish.duckjump

Anyway, the point being I came across a few posts such as post your free game and I'll download it and give you a review etc. Which in the grand scheme of things is useful but not going to change the uptake of the game.

Perhaps we need a Gamesalad YouTube voice, twitter retweet set-up or our own review site for pro games.
Just a thought, but as I browsed the myriad of we will review your app for 100 dollars I thought I was in the wrong business.

My twitter handle is @swifishgames and has just been set-up. I'll re-tweet any game release information as will my friends.
It seems like at the moment we all have more or less the same problem monetising.

Also this might help mobilise the dev community when we request updates that are necessary to support monetisation. At the moment there is probably more that could be done in the product and overall to support from our SDK providers.

Again just a thought but atm I'm reading people leaving the GS community or falling prey to "you have to have money to make money" mantra of the advertising world.

Not saying I have the answers but just downloading one another's games and putting a review won't move any of us massivley up rankings or generate exposure.

What do people think?

    But it does, or could!

It is all about reaching as many people as possible in the first 3 days. If you can mobilize a few thousand downloads and a few good reviews, it will push your app at least into noticeable rankings. From there your other marketing efforts need to support the organic interest to keep it up there.

Drawing on the support (and in turn supporting back) of a large development community would be ideal. Would be great if this kind of solidarity became a culture amongst us.

This is why I started nominapps.com.
